I have a 9.6V Elite battery on the way ,yipee but I need to replace the dreadfull hop up bucking too!.
with it fully OFF it still protrudes in the barrel so it realy effects shots and also bbs fly sidewards a bit too,the Galaxy MP5 is renown for bad,bad hop up rubber.
from what I can see any Hop Up Bucking will fit( will go Systema) but what do do about that Nub thing thing goes in the hop up? are they all the same thing for each gun like the Bucking??.I see you get a little metal ring with Systema Bucking?,do some hop ups use this ring and some use a small rubber Nub or what?.
Im a bit scared to pull the Galaxy apart incase I brake something but that hop up is buggered and must be changed, theres Galaxy mp5 disassembly guides on you tube but I can find no info on removing the barrel and hop up to change the Bucking/Nub

I don't know about removing the barrel but changing the rubber and nub should be the same as most other guns. By the way, if you're looking for a good hop nub Systema, Madbull and the Element H nubs are good. Hope this helps
I see some places list specific Bucking for specific springs?,am I better opting for a softer hop up bucking??
like this http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/madbull-60-d ... -blue.html the Galaxy MP5 uses a 100 type spring
Also while im at it Im thinking of replacing the tiny 110mm barrel with a 200mm one while I replace the Hop Up Rubber but will this barrel be no good?,I mean how long a barrel will be too long before it causes drag on the BB...
Plus is it better to use a Stainless Steel Airsoft barrel over the Brass one?

As it's inconvenient to find out experimentally, try and find some velocity figures relating standard V3 mechboxes to barrel length, you should get a pretty good idea. Well noted that with springers, moar barrel does not necessarily mean moar powerdjango wrote:I mean how long a barrel will be too long before it causes drag on the BB...
Other than the bling value, I don't see the point. Get the cheapest and tightest one.Plus is it better to use a Stainless Steel Airsoft barrel over the Brass one?

Just installed the 9.6V battery into the MP5K and required more modding than seen on how to threads.
