Thanks wyz..
I couldn;t have done it without you
@spuidchicken:
I had been away for about a year and this project got me all charged up again.
It was meant as a personal challenge after basically loosing interest..
and now I can't wait for the next one!!

Since I never commented on the latest installment, I have to say this looks absolutely 100% better. That touchup work gave it the professional edge.
Here's a tip though;
I find that using a flash when taking stills really highlights every single little imperfection, especially on a launcher so shiny as yours(I think that may have been the main reason for the ghetto comments earlier lol). Turn off the flash and get a yellowish tungsten lightbulb shining on it at an angle that brings out the details in the decorative plates. Use a slow shutter speed and then a tripod if the pictures turn out blurry. You'll see what I mean.
Also what diameter is that tube the pump/chamber are housed in? (you never answered that pm I sent you)

I bent and shaped a beltbuckle...Since I never commented on the latest installment, I have to say this looks absolutely 100% better. That touchup work gave it the professional edge.
I was focussing so hard on the piece at hand that I failed to see the bad spots.
My focus was on the lever...not on the bad welding on the magazine for example.
So Wyz actually helped me out a lot.
I distanced myself from the project and focussed on the ugliest spots and fixed those up.
Glad the buckle seems pro..
True.using a flash when taking stills really highlights every single little imperfection
The imperfections are not so bad in real life.
It looks used and the scrathes can be explained as `character`
The little brat distracted me as you can see but I had to share the geniune LOL.Would be a highly embarrassing accidental way to die though
The trigger had not been pulled it was just a shotgun noise from the PS3..
So he basically got me..

Well...made a vid..
I found out I need some sort of guide for the ammo so it will feed better.
Right now the angle I hold it in is critical.
Oh well simple fix...
And I would like to up the hammerspring force a bit to get higher pressure shots..another simple fix, but these kinds of thing you only find out when shooting.
The pump can put out ( way?) more pressure that the hammer spring can handle..
I get weaker shots at higher pressures...so...I'll fix that.
I was wrong to try and stretch the number of shots this way.
Now...I think I care more for power..I'll pump inbetween shots if needed...
Anyway...It's already a fun plinker:

And yes, it's much more likely that we'll have to deal with skynet than a zombie apocalypse

I would rather pick the zombies.
The Walking Dead is my favourite show ...probably ever!
...and not even because of the walkers..
The freedom the survivors have...wow...!!
But I wonder why none of the survivors wear protective clothing...seems like the best thing to do as a single scratch would ruin your day..
Look at 'em running around in their T-shirts...
How harmless would the walkers be if you'd simply put on a neck collar, a football helmet and some welding gloves..?
Anyway..
Beats getting shot to hell by some hovering fortress...
Inner diameter is 25mm, outside 32.
Sorry...

Ah, finally a video Looks fun.
How hard would you say the pump stroke is when you get into the "acceptable power/pressure" zone? I have some 35 mm ID seamless pipe, though I'm wondering how short I'd have to make the stroke in order to use it in such a pump. It's just about twice the surface area as your 25mm, so I'm guessing I would just cut the stroke length in half.

It's not very hard to pump.
With a pumplever as long as mine I'd try it.
I wish I could have used a bigger diameter!
You could cut the stroke down just a bit later by making a longer secondary arm ( crankshaft really) and moving the pivot point on the main arm further forward, if needed.
That would enable you to keep the checkvalve in the same position.
Just go for it.
Keep an identical section of tube at hand in case you screw up..
