I could though I don't really need a lot of air
mind you I want a hybrid - that does not require large volumes of air
besides If you want good cooling just immerse it in water - never tried to fully waterproof the 3 pin connector but I have put it in a bucket partly filled with water - worked pretty well

I've always wondered about using fridge compressors in hybrids. Isn't the air pumped out of the compressor a bit oily? I'm sure I've seen some people on the internet stick air oil filters on the outline to prevent oil getting in whatever.

I used one on my mini hybrid and it worked, that was only to 5x though.

Oh poland you can wire the starter unit from the inside so the thermostat wires aren't exposed making it look neater, or you can add a switch like mine.

Hey Poland spud ive looked around Spudfiles and i have come across this tutorial, i have a few questions id like to ask, can it be a bar fridge, would that be sufficient for 300 psi ?, What would i need to create the system for example fittings pipes exc and last is it safe to plug into the wall after you have taken it out of the fridge...

it can be a bar fridge as long as it uses a real compressor...

Hey guys, I need a little help with my compressor. I pulled it out of an old dehumidifier (probably from the 90s), hooked it up, it ran for about 5 seconds, clicked, and then shut off. About 15 seconds later, a tiny click comes out of a little black cylinder on the side, maybe 20mm diameter and 10mm thick and it would turn back on. Repeat about 10 times. I cut the wires coming out of the cylinder, rewired the compressor without it, and then turned it on. I left it running from a few minutes, trying to figure out which tube was the output, as neither were putting out much air when the larger diameter tube started puffing white smoke that smelled like burning oil, and about 10 seconds later the circuit breaker in the power strip blew.
Any ideas? What have I done wrong? Was the black cylinder a overcurrent protection circuit? Why was there no air and all the smoke?

Whelp, you blew that one up. That "black cylinder" was the starter, without it, current just runs through another winding, which should only run for a few seconds.
Don't do it again, you compressor murderer.
