Hi guys, Im new here and i have a some questions about my design; Sorry if my english sucks(not main language)
Well so im going to use a Co2 12g as my source of air, im going to use a Co2 quick change adapter, The problem is that if i just use one valve, All of the co2 will be used in just one shot, What i mean is that if there is a way to use the same cartridge for several shots. What i had in mind was hooking the quick change adapter to a Air Spray gun and when you press the air gun, It pumps air to a reservoir chamber, and after that you open a valve which makes the air flow through the bolt
Is there a way for me to make a smaller version? Like i dont care if use the spary paint airgun but i dont want to make a the reservoir air chamber from PVC because it will need to be big for it to hold the air, Id rather make it from metal and make it long but short in diameter
Thanks in advance guys, I dont know if you understood my idea i hopefully can design something on Sketchup to post
First Bolt action airgun

Thanks for the video.
I dont understand how the QEV works, I mean like in the video you get the air from a tube, Then you pull the tube and i suppose air is released onto the QEV and then where there is no pressure the valve opens right? Is there a diagram where you can show us? And in your video, When you fire, The air goes to that black can or just outside?, And is there a way to make a QEV because im not sure it would be worth to bring the parts from USA?
Sorry for long post
Thanks in advance

NVM the how to set it up, I just checked the design from the guy above, So the QEV works when you put air through on of the holes, Then pushes it to the secondary tank, Then when the air is stored on the secondary tank the other hole on the QEV valve opens(the one behind the pad thingy blocking the air to that hole) and the air is released into the barrel. Is there a diagram to confirm this?
Thank you
Thank you

From another post:DragonAllianace wrote:So the QEV works when you put air through on of the holes, Then pushes it to the secondary tank, Then when the air is stored on the secondary tank the other hole on the QEV valve opens(the one behind the pad thingy blocking the air to that hole) and the air is released into the barrel. Basically something like this:
When the valve is in the forward position, it allows air to flow from the main supply to the QEV and fill the pilot and firing chamber.
When the valve is in the rear position, two things happen:
- main supply is cut off
- QEV pilot chamber is open to the atmosphere, emptying it and firing the launcher
The valve goes back to the forward position (you need to add a spring or do it manually) and the cycle can be repeated.
This is the concept:
The slide valve is basically a three way valve.
A three way valve has three ports, which we will call A, B and C
There are two possible paths, AB (with C blocked off) and AC (with B blocked off)
A is connected to the pilot area of the piston
B is connected to your main tank
C is simply left open to the atmosphere.
At rest, the three way is in position AB. This means your reservoir is filling the launcher chamber.
When the trigger is pulled, the valve switches to position AC. This means the reservoir is blocked off, and is no longer filling the pilot and chamber, while the pilot is exhausted to the atmosphere, which fires the launcher.
Once the trigger is released, the valve goes back to AB, refilles the pilot and chamber and the cycle can be repeated.

Thanks for the diagrams.
Is there a way to make a QEV? a homemade one?
Thanks
(PS; Imma upload my plan on this post later, Gotta scan it)

It will take longer to explain than it would take you to order one from eBay for less than the price of two big macs...DragonAllianace wrote:Is there a way to make a QEV? a homemade one?

You do understand the amount of pressure involved?i had in mind was hooking the quick change adapter to a Air Spray gun

Thanks for the replies
Im cant get them where i live(Peru) If i get them it must be here otherwise the price isnt worth it
And as i said its my first build so thanks for telling me that, I changed design halfway though and added a QEV so no need to put the blow gun
