I just ordered some D cells, think I'm going to keep the red one as a torch - it's in really good nick, not a scratch on it.
I had been thinking about some schrader trigger that allows filling and firing without adding/removing any bits. Something like that could be needed to justify the price. However, I wouldn't want to use anything too complicated or expensive. Good excuse to f*ck 'round in the garage this arvo :D
There is an obvious solution:

2 x D cell. The red one will continue dispensing photons, the black one will be dispensing lead... still trying to decide in what configuration though.

Large calibre single shot, 0.177" burst fire, 0.177" or 0.22" multi-barrel shotgun, silent dart gun... too many options to choose from!

DC motor from an old MIG-welder, power transfer to the drum by a rotex coupling. Made for use in explosive atmospheres, so I should be set :D
The drum itself is all 316L stainless, 134 MM ID.
The cap is black POM.

I need to find a good power source for this one, at 12 volts the speeds is <60 RPM.

ITWOST I have piston hybrid... its 50kg of steel :D Sorry, but no pics yet.

Piston diameter is 110mm (port=90mm), piston made from aluminium and 316ss M20 threaded rod.. it has sliding bearings made from bronze.
Chamber is about 5litres and its designed to take safely 200bar pressures. Chamber design is similar to hydraulic cylinders and chamber is made out of D160mm hydraulic cylinder pipe.
Im staying under 10X mixes.

Its designed for special testing purposes, so it has little different piston setup, its like toolies style pistonvalve.. I get very good flow with that valve.
( http://www.spudfiles.com/spud_wiki/inde ... ston_Valve )

I start testing it now and hope to get some results in few days. I did tests with air and it worked very well :)

There is lot to it, so I will some day post the pics and all the info about it. If anybody really interested about pics then send me PM

matti, come on, you cannot post specs like that and not accompany them with at least one picture or video!

There are only two types of chrony owners:

1. Those who have shot their chrony
2. Those who will shoot their chrony.
Show it these pictures before a shooting session in order to encourage it to jump out of the way :D
