true, haven't just been able to fins proper sized union that doesn't have the "cone". I sanded down but it isn't perfectly straight so getting it seal is really a pain
I just used a grinder, it probably isn't perfectly straight but it doesn't need to be. I use the 'cone' half with the cone removed on the barrel side as you want the union half with the most burst disk contact area on the barrel side because that's the side the disks are pushed against. If you use gaskets or o-rings to seal the disks, you only need them on the 'chamber side' of the union and not the barrel side.

My latest method has been to stack o-rings inside the union half attached to the chamber (the union half with the external male threads) so that the last o-ring protrudes slightly out of the inside of the union half; providing a seal for the disks. The disks and then stacked on top of that and then the barrel union half is placed over the top. It doesn't matter if the barrel union half is perfectly flat after modification in this case.

I'm looking to buy a new sight for my 2240 co2 pistol, but I'm torn between an old vintage beeman precision adjustable peep sight and a new NC star red dot sight. They're both about 25$, so price isn't a factor, and I don't particularly care how they look. Keep in mind I'm using it for picking off "can sized targets" in high trees and on fences, so I guess I need a fairly dynamic (?) sight. Anyone got any experience with pistol sights?

Using "inter mounts" or a steel breech?

Peep sight on a pistol is going to be useless. Your 2240 should have come with a "reversible" sight blade...flip it over and give it a try at arms length. :)

It's a rifle sight, and is intended to be near to the eye. If you want to hold the pistol near your face like some PFT shooters do, it could work for you.

Go red dot IMO.

Steel breech, and thanks, I'd rather hold it at arms length like a real firearm.

By the way IIRC, you've got one of these pistols don't you? If so, have you ever tried shooting one with a longer barrel (>14")

No, long barreled pistols are not my thing. Anything over ~12" to my thinking is a carbine or rifle and gets a shoulder stock.

Have made the 2240 and 13xx into carbines/rifles at one time or another, and prefer them with either a 14" or 20" barrel. All my pistols have 10" or shorter barrels.

A stock would ruin it.

On a vaguely similar note, received Hitman Absolution last weekend.

Or ironcially, chopped it off ;)

So you know how this is true of Prometheus:

Hitman has a bit of that in the soundtrack, and it really is quite awesome.

I think I found pipe here with a working pressure of 150,000 psi. Tell me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that be capable of 1000X? 5 times strong than HyGaC20 or whatever it's called.[/url]

:)

Now you just need some 1/16" projectiles to go with it.

Jack,

Not sure what "prometheus" is, but if "weeehhrrr" is the same as "boobs"...then I understand.

Know any good 1/16" projectiles? :D

Seriously though, I'll probably use their medium pipes...
