Here's a design that I loved trough the years. In my country you can't buy materials for a generic spud gun, even if you had the money so I make only coke bottle spud guns. I'm really keen on the lightness, simplicity and low cost. Here's my video blog on the process of making combustion rifle. There are many layouts, this one is nice and simple.
As you guys have experience, you don't need to watch the whole thing, you should scroll trough fast.

looks pretty sweet! Basic too, which is nice.
How fast do you think it shoots?

I don't know the speed but it similar in terms of penetration to hunting bows. Lubricating the barrel and the projectile helps trough

Alrighty,
Well considering that projectile that you used in the video looked like it weighted quiet a bit compared to a bb or pellet. An arrow moves somewhere in the high 100 fps or right around 200 so that's pretty quick for a something heavier. Make one or a barrel for a .22 or 6mm bb gun. I want to see how that does 8) I might consider making one with a bunch of prefueled tanks so it doesn't take that long to reload. :P
Thanks,
Nick

I have a 55lbs compound bow and I can tell you, with well made projectile a coke bottle spud gun can penetrate much more.
My aim is to make very low tech. things that are strong, safe and fun , even if they reload very slow and can be practically called one shot gun.

After seeing the damage, I'm shocked. You really put me to shame, your 2 Euro gun is more powerful than most of my builds

You make semi/full auto stuff... Unlike "one shot and done". And the piston pneumatics are more then a match in terms of power.
