Haha, had missed that in the news.
I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to weld the fridge compressor back together after filling it with explosives.
edit: though I suppose you could cut it open, remove the internals, weld it back up, fill it with powdered or liquid explosive through the copper pipes, crimp them closed, and then you're good to go.

hehehe... should I ever chose to procreate, I'm assuming (hoping!) this is the sort of boy I'd haveThat is JSR junior!!!
His unknown sibling!
Like father, like son.
The difference of course is that he would have known about the Panzerschreck, and made a shield.
Well, you can't even trust a pressure cooker these days...Keep your fridge compressors out of the public eye people...
I don't want to give terrorists ideas, but...Clive Anderson wrote:edit: though I suppose you could cut it open, remove the internals, weld it back up, fill it with powdered or liquid explosive through the copper pipes, crimp them closed, and then you're good to go.

Funny you mention that as I'm going to be lending a hand in the lab to a Master's student for her research on the "thermal destruction" of human remains and was thinking about whether a murderer has ever used similar scientific literature to learn how best to dispose of a body.jrrdw wrote:If you ever wanted to get rid of somebody...
I've been given a chapter to read from the book The analysis of burned human remains titled "Patterned thermal destruction of human remains in a forensic setting"... it's filled with detailed photos of people modelling the 'pugilistic pose' (NSFW google image search, also not safe for the squeamish).

Clearly they're the ones that never get caught, because on shows like "Forensic Detectives" it's amazing what some people assume will happen.MrCrowley wrote:Funny you mention that as I'm going to be lending a hand in the lab to a Master's student for her research on the "thermal destruction" of human remains and was thinking about whether a murderer has ever used similar scientific literature to learn how best to dispose of a body.
