Beautiful paintjob! It looks a whole lot better now!

Gun Freak wrote:Dude, amazing job, and the khaki was the first coat so it doesn't matter what the second kind was. AWSOME JOB!! It looks fantastic, don't think I would have done any better :D Did you tape off the valves, or tape anything off for that matter? Oh and did I mention, it looks AWSOME!!!! I want to touch it. :D

EDIT, on second look, did you add a guide to the break barrel, and is it painted where it slides?
i did what you suggested at first but it turned out like crap so i made female stencils out of paper after i removed the tape and then painted some black stripes. over that more brown blotches as well as stripes. then on top of everything i did tan stripes and blotches because it didn't look deserty anymore. and no i did not tape off anything but valves still turn like they did before.

i did ad a slide guide but i took it off because it got gumed up with pain and didn't work anymore. also i did paint it where it slides but it got very VERY tight so i started to file off some stuff to make it slide easier

thanks i think so as well

do you think it looks close enough to real desert camo? i'm not sure if you can tell but i added some blotches of green here and there (about 10 in total) and it makes it look better in person than through the camera

thanks you guys for your comments

You should have taped off the spot where the guide slided, but maybe next time I'm over there or you're over here we'll out one of those sliders, from the umbrella on there, it will be nice. :D
I missed the green in the pics, did you do it after the post?

on the last picture on the firing chamber in the back on the elbow pointing up there is a spot of green (it's very dark and could pass for black if you're not looking for it)

i also forgot to say that i lightly spayed everything with black when i was done to make it just a tad bit darker

I see what you did there, you made the body itself the air tank
How many shots do you get out of it?

i like it but i couldnt post cuz it was old (i got told about the isue bu jsr and blitz) but how big is the air tank and how do you keep the pressure up? im thinking of a air shotgun but with a smaller tank with an internal piston to increase pressure over multiple shots, do ya think it would work?

The air tank was around 4 ft of 2" pvc, and I'm not sure what you mean by internal piston?

This is what i meant, a piston that can be pushed down and locked in place with the black pin. Also there is a pair of o-rings and a sealing face to maintain psi.I think this would allow more shots per fill(with good velocity). Also the same thing could be acomplished with a douple seal faced piston and about 100-300 psi behind the piston after the 100-300 infront of the piston.

The problem with this is the force required to push the piston with 100 psi in the tank would be enormous. The better alternative to this idea would just be a built-in pump.
