What was more or less the world's least fair game of chicken. And whatever ultimately happened to the Unknown Rebel, it wasn't the tanks that did it.

Now, it's true to say that people had been run over by a tank the day before... but it was some time after the protest in the square had been broken up and they weren't deliberately standing in front of it.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Well, look at the lyrics:
The people rose up and said "Life ain't fair."
Now they're sweating in a shop making iphones
So... the Tanks won.

Speaking of iStuff, I wonder if Apple will advertise this interesting use of its products:

It's almost certain that, there and then, the Unknown Rebel was protesting the use of violence, not the economics and politics that lead to the protests in the first place.

I think he made that protest stick.

I certainly congratulate you for being so open minded, but personally......I prefer Olivia Newton John rather than Elton John.

I doubt it (though I do get a lot of views on youtube from Syria!) - the Libyan rebels were using stuff like google maps too: http://bfbs.com/news/worldwide/libyan-r ... 48680.html
The rebels say the computer game Call of Duty has taught them vital tactics.

I have to say that even at 65, in the timeless words of John Oliver, she is "quite the MILF"
I think he made that protest stick.
He has certainly earned his place in history but the fact that the protests had no significant effect of the Chinese leadership does validate the fact that ultimately, the "tanks" have "won".

Ye gods. Is the idea of interacting with women in a way that isn't eventually trying to get them into bed that alien to people?
It is to most healthy heterosexual men.
Although they might not realise it.

I've spent quite some time studying people, so I could learn how to imitate them. :D
It helps blending in and keeping a low profile.

The clubs I worked at where my lab.

Men want big, expensive cars, like to throw money around.
In a way proving their worth as "providers"
The guys who had the most expensive cars, the most money, got first pick:

Big breast are preferred, as the offspring will benefit from healthy, developed breasts.
A tight midsection indicates the female is not with child...so this too is preferred.

Women dance, to show off their healthy, firtile bodies.
Men drink, to show off endurance, while they throw money around, buying the girls drinks.
The stronger they appear, the better.
I've seen very attractive girls flock around an ugly, vulgar individual.
The fact that he was spending thousands of euro's on them might have had something to do with it.

It's been proven that men are less likely to back down from a fight when a female is present.
They are defending their offspring.

Often people try to find the meaning of life.

Reproducing is the only objective in life.
The meaning of life is life itself.

To life, everything else is irrelevant.
No matter what culture you're from...Interaction between the sexes basically revolves around sex.
Unless you know of any culture that lasts longer than one generation without it.

That doesn't mean however, you should walk the same path.

I mean...some guys just build cannons...

I have to question whether your sampling method has produced a test group completely representative of the entirety of human interaction.

I'm an ugly, not fat but certainly not fit, boring person (lab techs, right Jack?), and I'm well above the average in terms of volume of sex for my age. I'm not rich, and I don't even own a car. It's called confidence. What precisely will a woman say to me when I ask, wanna fork, spoon and smoke? What's the worst that can happen? Do I care if they say no?

On the other hand, until recently I've never had a serious relationship that wasn't purely because I'm a decent root. I spent a few weeks hanging around with my current partner, we didn't have sex until 8 weeks into the relationship, and things are going well.

I was just lucky enough to find a girl who legitimately wants the submissive role in the house, while at the same time she manages a shop. Hell, she even got behind a No.5 Lee Enfield when I told her, and liked it haha. Next step is arranging a move to Arizona, and a couple of CCPs.

Can't think of a better way to sum up the thread. Since we're a sexual specie women and men achieve the goal using different means.

The socio-economical conditions of the world we live in simply mean that men have to adapt to new situation. There are different ways to skin a cat so to speak. Marriage and the more traditional approach worked in the past but now risks out weight benefits. That doesn't mean Rag you can't try that anyway, but be warned that you're likely to be screwed over. What we write here is based on our experience and observations and you can either accept that or not.

Zeus,
If by CCP's you are refering to Concealed Carry Permits.........as of circa 2010, permits are no longer required to conceal carry anywhere within the state.

I remember being a teenager when this song came out:

This particular lyric struck me:
Hey sugar momma, come and dance with me
The smartest thing you ever did was take a chance with me
"What an arrogant [unt!" I thought, "Surely no woman would fall for that attitude!"

Turns out I was very, very wrong.

Rag, it seems to me that you hold the same opinion as I did before I knew better.
That doesn't mean Rag you can't try that anyway, but be warned that you're likely to be screwed over. What we write here is based on our experience and observations and you can either accept that or not.
I wouldn't be so quick to judge in the sense that a situation that you and I might perceive as one where we had been screwed over, others might find fulfilling. Trent said it best, right. To each his own.

I would say that the meaning of life is the meaning you give it.

There is no imperative to reproduce before you hit puberty, and as you get older this drive reduces too.

Greg Giraldo had condensed it nicely, unfortunately this sh1te clip is the best I could find online:

Now some less offtopic question. Some say that water accumulates inside a fridge compressor, because oil in it might be hygroscopic or simply because it's in the air.

Would closing the air inlet solve this problem? The inlet tube is directly connected to the inside of the compressor. If there's water in it wouldn't sudden drop to vacume help to boil most of it ?

At very low pressures you can take the boiling point of water down to room temperature. Boiling water from an emulsion though... doesn't sound like it would work.
