Project of a Pneumatic Marble Sniper (Advices/help needed)
Hello,
since it epears to be the best way to make a powerfull sniper im maybe going to make one , my goal is to shot about 250 yards away (with the cannon at 45°) and to be the mots inexpensive...
so i ask for advices about the chamber and cannon size since i dont know at all about pneumatics.
to get the pression in the chamber i was thinking about this
http://www.conrad.fr/webapp/wcs/stores/ ... tId=212740
it would get a pression of 180 psi , that would be enought ?
i hope you will help me since i m stuck ^^
cya , have a good day

pressson? do you mean pressure? at those pressures, go with a steel piston valve. although, If this is your first cannon, a ball valve may be better.

oh, sorry. had I known you were from France, I would not have pointed that out.
yes , I think 180-200 psi would be enough.
are you planning on using copper for the barrel and air chambers?

you will need sch80 PVC i believe, and in France it may be called PN18(18 BAR=260psi)
P.S France played really good in the second game against the All Blacks in the rugby last week

ok thanks you all
so if i do a basic gun like that :
chamber => modified orbit valve => barrel
with a 180 psi compressor connected on the chamber
it would work ?
i gonna do some researsh on the forum about the best C:B ratio beceause i dont know for pneumatics...
with the hope i can find these kind of valves here
tomorow i will go to "Castorama" and i will look for 20 bar rated PVC and for a good valves , i will tell you what i plan to buy before i do
thanks again and sorry about being a noob
ps: All Black just f***** our players... we ***** ^^ that's bul****t ^^

Ok guys , let go this is a schematic of what i would like to build it was very inspirated by rna_duelers sniper
5cm x 30cm pvc chamber
2 cm x 100cm barrel
on board 12v air compressor 200 psi
say me what you think

i know... :/ i will see when i will buy it , if it's too munch heavy i wont take it onboard , but i would really like to have a all in one gun :/Infernal2 wrote:Ah, an onboard compressor. It will be rather heavy. You could perhaps purchase an air compressor motor and wire it to a portable battery system. Same weight but quicker.
You can, just make a project box...you can put the compressor in a back bag. with the hose directly connected to your sniper. Bolt design is much easer with copper....pvc in france is weak, trust me....i'm french too
