Last Blast Junior

Barrel: 48" x 1-1/4" SCH-40
Chamber: 15" x 3" SCH-40
Connection: breech-loading cam lock barrel
Mixing: Ozark Trails camping fan
Fuel: Thumb-operated MAPP meter
Ignition: single-gapped BBQ sparker handle

This is just a little gun I came up with this week to provide a more portable combustion cannon for me to use. Decided to build it after wanting another "small" gun. Here's a few pictures.

All I've been shooting mostly are blanks and D-cells. It's dark so I can't tell the range/damage.

Yup. I think you don't realize I live WAY the hell in the middle of nowhere. Mostly I've just been shooting into a stand of oak and underbrush right next to our house.

Nope. It's just as easy for me to flip it on when I start and off when I'm done.

Very nice, but you should build a sparkstrip for it. My bbq ignitor can easily handle 3 good-sized sparks, and the preformance went WAY up. It went from boom to BOOM

I personally don't really bother with dual ignition anymore. I find that one gap at the back of the chamber works great for me. My first two serious cannons had dual ignition, and they're not anymore powerful than the LB and now the Junior. I still think that pressure rise is equal across the entire chamber, regardless of the position of the flame front(s).

Wait, aren't blanks kind of dangerous? I thought the force of the explosion had to be transfered to the ammunition...
