<div align="center">METAL MAYHEM
Provided By Boogieman - <a href="http://www.advancedspuds.com">www.advancedspuds.com</a>
MetalMayhem is my first attempt at a metal gun, and my first attempt at a coaxial piston valve. The launcher is a coaxial piston type, made mostly of spare parts I had already. The barrel is 3/8" copper pipe, and the chamber is part of an old aluminum bike pump. The piston is extremely simple, its only a 1" copper cap with neoprene bolted onto it. I thought this gun would be powerful, but I had no idea how fast it would actually shoot! I split a cork in two on my first shot. The cork only came into contact with some wadded up cloth. The pilot area (area being the piston) is exhausted with a 1/4" ball valve.
The internals of the gun. They are laid out how it would be inside the chamber. The white thing is to center the barrel. It is just a ground out and cut down 1" end cap. Sheet PVC would work also, as would wood or anything really. The back of the chamber (right end) is plugged with the original bike pump plug. It is held into place with the 1/4" pipe nipple that the exhaust ball valve is attached to.
Oh, by the way, this little guy is FAST! It amazed me for its size! I can shoot big ball bearings (fit perfect in the barrel) at 411fps, but here is the amazing shot: 911.5FPS! That's chrony data when shooting a 3/8" cork at 120psi.
Needless to say, I almost wet my pants with excitement when I saw a number that big on my chrony!

Hmmm, nice choice of words bubbleman. Let me find a good rant on the whole thing:
Oh, and boogieman is a spudgun genius, he has a hybrid, and has one of the only revolver guns in existence. So before you go dissing anyone else's cannons, take a good look at yourself and say "What gives me the right to say that?"
Besides, buddy, where are your guns?
Sorry bout that, some things have been bugging me and I needed to get that out of my system.
Courtesy of DR.I don't care if someone posts a mediocre-looking cannon or not, they don't deserve to be teased about it. I've seen many "pill-bottle minis"
that I wouldn't wipe my dog's ass with, cannons, taped together with gift wrap and duct tape, and 4" plugs made of wood. And no one makes a fuss over the lack of "bling".

Well, I guess that's what makes us different then doesn't it?
Besides, many people that know me don't take me seriously, because half the time, I'm not.
But when I feel strong on a certain position, you'll get a HUGE rant like the one above.

saladtosser: good idea, i might have to try that one time and just preview it.
yeh, bubble, dont bother to give ppl shit about cannons, espescially if u havent posted one yet. if ur going to criticise, at least give reasons for it.
i like the cannon but i still dont understand how piston guns work
anyeay, cya

911.5 ?!?! and the Fed's are alright with these things? AWSOME! I like the simplicity and performance. Some people can build really cool looking guns that can't barely even shoot. I'll take performance any day.
