pk, here's some new pics, with the redone stock, and the bb barrel along with the other sleeved barrel. this thing is fun to shoot, but I am going to be deburring the pipe that houses the piston, and machining a new piston with much better tolerances and maby o-rings with a metal lathe pretty soon.
oh, I added a breech to the bb barrel. the piece that you slide over the hole is just 1/4 inch ID air hose.

I'm rather envious - I've never quite got the hang of building piston valves.
Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.

thanks brian, joanna! there are still a few bugs in it that I will work out over time, but i am guessing that it will be virtually bug-less with a custom piston, bored out pipe, and o-rings. this thing is really fun to aim. should I cut pieces of plywood to go in the stock?
It think, short of using an actual rifle stock, it doesn't get much closer looking to the real thing than this. It turned out better than I ever hoped or imagined. It looks cooler in person than in the pics. sorry if that seemed like gloating )
oh, I figured out a good 1/4 inch ammo. take the old, dead/non-working strings of Christmas lights, and pull them out of the sockets. then bend back the wires, and pull them out of the plastic thingies. makes nice clouds of dust, embeds glass dust in plywood and pvc pipe, and makes a sharp, quiet popping noise when they hit.

woaw...it has given me the idea of rebuilding my BB coaxial...i've taken it to 23 bars...it is loud. it performs well. it scares my cat. it ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!
320m/s with a lead pellet is a good performance i guess.....

I am thinking of getting a paintball remote coil, a 20 oz paintball co2 tank, and attaching it to this, with the co2 tank on my belt. oh, a regulator, of course! then I would take it up to anywhere from 300-550 psi. it would be deadly powerful, kick like heck, and be fun to shoot at sheet metal and such. I will make it 3/8 inch porting instead of 1/4 inch eventually.
