small combustion

I am going to build a small combustion cannon, I have a few questions.

Here are some details the chamber is going to be 2 inch sch40 pvc 2 feet long.
1. if I drill my ignition points just threw the side of the chamber will the strength of the chamber be compromised?

2. how small of a barrel can I use?
will a barrel smaller than 1/2 an inch be to small

no it wont compromize the integrety (much, not enough to make it explode), but if you want to feel free to tap it into a double area.

and as for the 1/2 barrel will be fine

I,ve got one more question, can I use a smaller barrel, like .25 inch inner dia? maybe I could shoot .243 bulletsout of a .25 inner dia barrel.
If I could that would be cool and the gun would be verry accurate

I was thinking that a berral that smal would create to much pressure. chamber is rated to 280 psi and the 1/2 inch barrel is rated 600psi all fitting are pressure rated.

I dont think a small barrel would blow up your gun since combustion cannons have pressures under 80 psi

I dont care if I don't get the best performane out this gun.

I was thinking of making the smaller barrel by putting a small copper pipe in the middle of a 1/2'' sch 40 pipe and filling in the space wit something strong and dorable like epoxy but thatwould be really expensive. cold any one else suuggest somthing better?
