This is a collaboration I am throwing out to the SpudFiles.com Community. I am interested to see what sort of uses and applications my fellow creative minds can come up with for the electronics parts and devices listed in this collaboration.
I have a few suggestions myself, but I am interested in whatever everyone else has to think. Please respond only with positive and constructive ideas. The electronic parts/devices are as follows:
- A magnetic card reader/writer with appropriate accompaning power adapters, basic software/drivers and cables
- A Gameboy Advance SP Cobalt (barely used and in great condition)
- A semi-functional Sony VAIO (there is a 3/4 inch horizontal black bar across the screen)
- A fully functional Dell Inspiron 6000D
Please assume that for whatever may have in mind, you have unlimited access to any sort of tool and part i.e. batteries, wires, USB adapters, screwdrivers, soldering iron and solder, hexkeys etc.
Once again I am just interested in what sort of POSITVE and CONSTRUCTIVE ideas everyone has. Sarcastic and unkind comments/suggestions will be ignored.
Feel free to ask any questions you have about the devices I have provided.
Good luck and happy building/modifying/constructing whatever!

wait are you going to give us this stuff and you want us to make something out of it or do you want an idea so you can do something with it?
anyway...
ive been thinking about hollowing out a book and putting a game boy in it (like relocating the keys so it would be easy to play if the book was open) kinda hard to describe probably being to vague but basically what im trying to say is rip apart the gameboy and repackage it as if the book were its plastic shell.
for the card reader i say wire it up so you can use it to open a door/cabinet (use like solenoid or some other kind of electronic thing to lock the door/cabinet)
use the computers to run automated turrets with optical target tracking(web cams) its been done before, saw it on hackedgadgets a while ago

Yes, think of it as you have these materials and are using them together to create new item or using them seperately for a new purpose.
I am just looking for any ideas in general. Using all of the devices is recommended, but optional.
I am just interested in everyone's input.
Think daily application, think totally taking them apart and doing whatever, think POV, think whatever!

Hook the game boy up to the computer so you can play the GB on the computer and pu the card reader on the comp to make it look cool.
Unfortunately theres already a much easier way to do that
