Calm down paaiyan, no one is coming after you. Just as you didn't say it was perfect, I didn't say it was worthless.

Well I wasn't coming after you or anything. I not angry or nothin. So I think we've pretty much decided that if you're really going to try using that cannon, wrap it in duct tape, if only to prevent it from fragmenting and throwing shards of flaming pvc into your eye sockets and such. Really I don't think that would be something you need to worry about, just tape it up just in case mmkay?

well seems as if this has happened again. oh well , anyway "pat" my opinion is that using cell core ABS/PVC is risky, i mean there is always that feeling of distrust with your gun when using it. i mean ive heard about guns made of it exploding and/or rupturing but has anyone seen it in real life or seen pictures of it, if you have please post. (maybe its because no ones lived to tell the tale............... ). if someone posts somthing i hope it will clear up your matters.
As for strengthening the chamber, i wouldn't bother man , its not worth it.........well if and only if cell core truly em, explodes.

ABS is the safest of combustion chamber materials.
Believe me, if someone died, we would be even more likely to hear about it.

You missed the point of the quote. It was a pointless quote from Pirates of the Caribbean that is only somewhat related to the topic at hand. And we might not hear about it. They might have gone out into the woods without telling anyone and the explosion was so violent that no recoverable pieces were found leading conspiracy theorists to believe that it was a failed government test flight of an alien craft of unknown origins. The government would deny this of course.

Ideally, I'd be using that rarest of things - pressure rated ABS.
It ain't cheap, but that stuff is rated in excess of 200 psi, can be used at just about any mortally survivable temperature (anywhere from -40F to 100F and it should be fine) and won't shatter either.
Not that the majority of ABS is super rated like that.
@Paaiyan: I at least got the reference.

Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.

OMG, that is the exact place i plan on getting my ABS from
just as a note on that place look in the plain inch reducers and there is no 3 to 2 the on i need
but, as i said before i will never use cell core, but for arisols i see no problem with it

I didn't know you were from the UK...
You need a "reducing bushing", rather than a reducer. (And to others: Yes, the picture does show a PVC fitting rather than an ABS one, but they are largely the same other than that difference.)
