Hi all,

I came across this idea while i was designing my bolt action MAS 36 and i dont think it would work really but i just thought that maybe anyone could say anything else about it im thinking about making a prototype but i dont think it will work anyway because there wont be enough pressure.

Thanks.

How it works is that when the bolt is in firing position the airhole is in between the bolt and the marble.when the air goes in the ole the marble is shot forward bu the bolt is also pushed back loading another marble and then moves back into the firing position because of the band.

bit difficult to understand.. but all up im not completly sure if it would work maybe a more simple idea would be more efficient but still have a go and see how it turns out.

shouldn't the airhole be between the marble and the bolt? Otherwise it will be blown back along with the bolt.

have a look at this design, it's roughly the same principle - it's also similar to the idea behind my cartridge-fed concept, though without the cartridges of course.

No, from the way I see it, the rubber band pushes the marble into a position so it is just past the hole. I think the first diagram shows the gun right after it has been shot (notice how the bolt is pushed back all the way).

shud be rite is correct. the diagram i have is in the position to let the marble into the barrel and after that it gets pushed forward by the band so the airhole is in the middle.Im sorry its not the best diagram .The diagram is in loading position. And if this works ill be incorporating this into an
MLE 50 design to go along with my french indochina war arsenal that im making.
