i also have the neboirs problem try drilling holes about 2-3cm apart at the end of the cannon and raping fluff around the pipe and holes then tape it there.
this works really well for me :D

the more barrel, the better then?
Not necessarily, and I'm by no means a potato gun.... er, excuse me, "experimentation on expanding gasses and its effects on spherical vegetables" expert, I'm sure blb will come by with a better explanation.

The idea of a C:B ratio is to make your barrel just the right length so that it uses all of the energy produced by combustion right as it leaves the muzzle. If it is too short, it doesn't harness all of the energy and the excess is essentially released as.... NOISE (read here for a good explanation of guns making noise and silencers in general). If the barrel is too long, the projectile harnesses all of the energy, but friction with the barrel begins to wear away at its velocity.

And it has been determined that the optimum ratio is .8 to 1, for maximum efficiency. Anything lower inmpedes performance, and anything higher harnesses less energy.

Hybrids on the other hand, have extreme ratios, like .5 to 1 or even .25 to 1 depending on what mix you're using.

Hybrids are also extremely crazy, unless you have access to a bomb squad suit.

Not really, but I'd never try one.

i really have no idea but i had a look at that thing at advanced spuds and that looks like a really good idea for a silencer but it would be alot better if you could drown out the noise completely. my neighbours keep calling the cops. but luckily i made a seceret hiding place for it and i just say that i've bin smashing up stuff with a sledge hammer. works perfectly :D

I strongly recommend the GGDT for pneumatic ratios.
