First off this should be in the bb/airsoft area.

Best airsoft barrel is 9/32 brakeline but 5/16 is more commonly available. Biuld the entire gun inside a pvc frame. It will look cleaner and be more durable. I'd use 1.5 - 3 ft length for the barrel depending on preference.

if i where you i would just make a inline votex rifle or a cloud like mine. its designed to be a sniper rifle. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/false-denial-t8761.html and no offense but it looks like a marble sniper rifle more than a bb rifle. you should try both a marble/paintball and a bbmg like mine.

i dont want to waste 5 million bbs a minute...i want a sniper... no offense but i do not like the look of that gun...i dont like that other guys cloud that is covered in pvc either...i like bare metal...so all pvc is out of the quesdtion....oh yea btw this gun is all metal....

so i need a good pipe to shroud it still (what size and type?)

is brakeline availiable in 3 feet lengths?

thanks all!

Edit:

did anyone ever notice that airsoft bbs fit perfectly in most 1/8 pipe?

on that note what is .269" in mm

The Pep Boys store that I buy all of my brakeline from sells it in three foot sections, so you might be able to find it in three foot lengths.

if the ID is .269'' then airsoft bb's are a little small because they are 23 caliber.

so the barrel would be 0.039'' to bigl, which probably wont matter to much.

Even though they're more expensive, actual airsoft barrels air by far superior to any brakeline or pipe barrels. They are machined to within a few thousandths of an inch of the airsoft bb, and they are perfectly straight and smooth. As for the barrel cover, 1/2'' pipe nipples with some teflon tape wrapped around the ends of the barrel work great.

That would be 6.83mm. for airsoft BBs you want as close to 0.236" as possible.

You'll only need a small chamber and QEV for this setup if all you're firing is a single BB.

The chamber in the sketch would be excessive if it's to scale.

Personally I use a weed-sprayers nozzle as the barrel, I've used it on my clouds and it works fine, there is a very very small gap and the nozzle pipe is usually about 2' long on most weed-sprayers and I just bought the nozzle seperatly for about $3NZD which is like $2.2US. Mine also came with a 1/4" adapter like a compression fitting on the barrel so its easy to connect to your valve/cloud/vortex.

wait, did I miss something? cant you just use a blowgun for a valve instead of a qev? I mean, isnt it kind of overkill for a single shot gun?

I got a 40" lenght of brakeline for my bbmg. It was like $3.50 usd

You could sleeve the barrel in 1/2 or 3/4 pvc, or conduite pip for extra strength.

For a 3 foot barrel, a chamber of just a few cubic inches will work fine.

I have tried making bb guns out of blowguns. It doesn't work that good but it still works. I don't think a qev is overkill, but I think it is overkill to have such a large chamber.
