I built a couple of tshirt guns for high schools and I think that it is time for me to take it to the next level. I came up with this idea, it is very simple and durable. I plan on running it around 200psi. The main body will be constructed from 2" exaust tubing (because i can only weld steel no TIG welder) and will have a paintball co2 tank, regulator, and trigger frame to house the batterys and switch for the electric solenoid valve to accuate the piston. I think I will use a smaller peice of pipe plugged at both ends as my piston in an effort to keep it light.
Please give me as much critisism and suggestion as possible! I am very interested in your comments.
I am planning on selling it for around $300-$400U.S.

So do high schools ask you to make them t-shirt guns or do you offer to do it? Just wondering and sorry about hijacking your thread.
Your design looks really good. How long would it take to reload?

Looks very nice, but I would put a ball valve between the exhaust valve and the piston, as a safety.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

you have 1 tiny problem..ur design shows filling from infront of the piston..now im not an expert on co-axials and i think you can put a spring behind the piston so it holds it there while you fill.. and then u have to have an equilization hole so the air can get through...well ill help u in a little bit i have to go get a shower now..
oh and can you tell me your specs of the gun? like the pipe that the piston seals on..and diameter barrel..are you sure u r going to need 200 psi? well...maybe since the tube the piston is sealing on is small..good luck!

Looks like one of the commercial T-Shirt cannons I have seen on other websites. I would also build it out of metal and include a pop safety valve to keep all the Commie-Libs from sueing you. I would normally make it myself, but if I was someone else in charge of an event involving slinging T-Shirts, I would buy it. Make sure you got some liability insurance before you start to sell them.

Hey all...
I'm a noob here.
I'm a DJ here in Leavenworth. I got my crap together as far as sound and lighting and I'm a little bit of a do it your selfer too. I'm now dj'ing the local football games for the catholic high school here.
I have a link to the run-on music for the players. You can listen here, but you have to download the file first. Pick either one that says "Football 2007" in the title then right click on it. www.jfproductions.biz/other
Hope the music (and anything else you want on there inspires you!
ANYWAY
I made 3 spud guns in high school, all combustibles.
Now I'm 31 and out of practice. I'm hoping someone on here has links to plans to build an air t-shirt launcher. I have the compressor (unless you have a better idea for mobility and recharge) and a budget of around $150.00 for supplies. I'd like to use the gun for a confetti launch with the run on music and be able to do hotdogs and t-shirts during the game. The school is struggling and with my 10 speakers and 5000 watts of sound, I want to make things a little over the top for this school because it may close down soon.
Can you help the children? .....LOL!@!!!!
but seriously....
You can call me too 913.909.6796
Thanks,

Hey,
I just got called out on a private message from a member complaining that I'm just here to "advertise" and waste all of your time helping me find a link to some plans for a t-shirt launcher.
I have tried google a bunch with no luck on some good SAFE plans for my application.
Thanks for any help you may be able to offer....meanwhile, I'll keep digging the forums....
thanks!

Sorry about not getting back to you guys very soon, Ive been busy. Well to start off, thank you very much for the comments, I will take them to heart.
@ Flying_salt, yes, the origanal school asked me because a kid mentioned my spud gun adventures. After t6hat I decided to pich the ideas to other schools.
@insomniac, I have an electronic safty switch in the trigger frame that looks a little more professional.
@pyromaniac, yes this was my overall insperation for THIS gun, however I have improved apon the design (i think) by making it more astheticly pleasing and simpler.
Also, I have sold these launchers to other schools:
@spudthug, you are very correct, I forgot to put in the braided steel line (in the paint picture) going to the back of the gun. Also, the valve in the back I have decided will be covered.
