Here is my newest incarnation of spudding mayhem. Used my same formula of 4" x 24" ABS down to a 2" fitting. I got an aluminum camlock deal for the interchangable barrels, and the aluminum were cheaper than the poly cam locks.

The ignition is a 12k volt 1.5VDC powered BBQ ignitor that has two pair of contacts going to the two spark gaps. A threaded steel schrader valve for the propane injection right in front of the 80MM chamber fan. The Valve in the back is a 1" Ball Valve that attaches to a close gap steel nipple that comes in from the other side of the cap.

The handles are 4" caribeaners from Harbor Frieght.

Watch that modded end cap. Not only does that large hole make the weakest part of your cannon even weaker, it is way to thin to safely hold a threaded part.
I suggest you replace it with a PW plug, or at least fill the cavity with epoxy.

I did fill the end cap with epoxy, completley slipped my mind to mention that, and i never took a picture of it, but yeah i definatley went about that part safely

Looks nice, to bad the chamber isn't clear so you can see the LED fan. The grip looks good too.

The leads aren't a big of a deal because I'm right handed so it sits on my right leg when I shoot and the leads are on the opposite side of the cannon. I like the exposed look of em too. Thanks for the comments on the gun, the paint is just blue Krylon Fusion, which is awesome stuff.

Unfortunatley with those cam locks the ID is smaller than the 2"ID spud barrel so you can't breech load a spud. The PVC GB Barrel is bolted on and the bolts act as a rollback stop but it is removed after each shot so that I can blow the chamber out quicker and the barrel can be reloaded easier since it's almost 7' long.....oh and that ignitor I got really lucky on getting. My neighbor had a BBQ with the battery powered ignitor on it (that one actually) and his wife was trying to cook on it and ended up burning down the whole thing, the only thing that survived was the ignitor box. Unfortunatley I haven't been able to find them in the stores but if you can find one, never let it go!!!! or try and get one on the charbroil or weber websites.

It is one hell of a nice cannon, but i got one thing to mention.

You should have placed your spark gaps further apart from eachother.
That will improve performance because so close spark gaps dont create multiple flame fronts since the 2 flamefronts melt together as one because of the closeness (<- is that a word? lol).

Yeah not really a big deal with the 7' GB Barrel and the meter setup just right this thing will blast a golfball so damn fast that you cant see it leave the barrel or in flight, and I have been using any colored ball i can get my hand on and still nothing. Frankly I'm scared to try and shoot anything close up to give you guys some damage shots cause I'm scared of a ricochet that I can see. I am in the process of building a backstop

Umm let me think for a second, The ignitor I got for free but would cost $30, the camlocks and GB Barrel purchased all together was $20, the Chamber Fan was $10, $20 for the Chamber, another $5 for the valve assembly on the rear, $2 for the handles $5 for all the hose clamps, and another $8 for all the uh wires and screws for the spark gaps and switch for the fan and 2 9V batteries. That feeling of shooting a golf ball through 1" Plywood...Priceless.
