Very well made, it's nice to see more and more people are appreciating the joys of high pressure. There was a time on spudtech years ago when Brian and I seemed to be the only ones willing to go beyond 300 psi.

The "sawn off" look is cool, but you could very easily increase your barrel length to at least twice the current dimensions and get even MOAR power!

I will going to shoot a marble against a old ww2 helmet. Will it go through? I personally don't think, or maybe it does penetrate? We will see. One thing is for sure, you really don't want to be in the front of the barrel :binky:

I would say it probably would penetrate at least one side easily assuming it impacted on a perpendicular surface, helmet steel usually isn't that thick and was designed to offer protection against larger relatively slow artillery fragments as opposed to small arms fire. If it doesn't penetrate with a marble, it definitely will with a saboted steel bearing or dart.

I have to say it has bigger recoil then the 22mm copper barrel, and also a bit more powerful.

Bigger barrel diameter implies bigger projectile base area, an increase of over 60% in this case, which is directly related to available power.

Love to see it with 4.5 mm lead BBs...

I think I will leave the barrel it's size for the looks. Maby I will add a longer barrel in the future, but for now it's nice and loud. The first updates I am going t make are a better piston, and some addons on the fridgy. Thanks though

You have a very clean way of building things.I love it!
You can use 26 mm marbles ( bonken noemden wij die, de grote dus) as ammo now.

They will punch through a couple of layers of plywood.
You will get quite a kick with a lead molded projectile..in more ways than one.

Psy...you better get that machined piston valve you have been talking about..this clearly outdoes a regular QEV..

I have made the rear sight yesterday. I have chosen to make "fixed padridge sights" It's not soldered yet, but I just couldn't wait for making pictures and show it to you guys. I am pleased how it came out that nice, never thought that I could manage that Here are the pictures:

Very nice build - clean, compact and no doubt powerful damage (other than buckshot ) are sure to be impressive. Can't wait for the matt black paint coat.

On a sort of unrelated note: try resizing your pictures before you post them. I've got pretty crappy internet and it's taking forever to load .

I know. But the gun isn't designed to be accurate, so I have chosen for the "fixed" sights. It also looks more solid to me rather then adjustable sights. I am goin to solder it very presice. So in ideal conditions, your aim is in center, you only have to aim a little higher for longer distance. But with airguns designed to be accurate (rifled barrel and stuff), you will need adjustable sights, or even a scope.

I have to say this has inspired me to look into a similar high pressure medium bore shorty, I'll have a rummage around the workshop to see if I can find an offcut that is up to the task of being a 58 bar chamber

In truth I have made a couple of 350 psi 3/4" short coaxials, just never posted them because they didn't go beyond the 2 concentric tubes stage. Now that everyone's making them, and especially because I have proper HPA to play with, I don't want to be left out

Hmm, I also thought of that, but if I would do that, I think it will look way too thick. I know would be a really nice touch, but only when have a small/medium diameter sized resevoir. I have a thick one.. To make the resevoir smaller isn't a option, becouse of the barrelsupport. If I am going to make another airgun, I will add this idea. Also becouse your shortie shotgun looks very beasty, and I like that . Thanks BTB
