i built this guy recently for launching out baits
but do not feel it is powerful enough could be that the barrel to chamber ratio is of
chamber is 1 meter x 3'' diameter
current barrel is 1.2 meters by 2'' diameter
im no rocket scientist
pipe used is rated to 16 bar pressure
if only tire inflaters could reach that pressure

i want to be able to shout projectiles 6- 10 oz +- 300 yards

Try 3 to 1 or 4 to 1, chamber to barrel ratio. From what I see you are using ball valve, modified sprinkler valve might be a better option.

Thanks Doctore

When you say 3 to 1 you mean barrel should be 3 meters to one meter chamber ??? Bit blonde Also to late to modify to sprinkler as its all glued up
Also due to increasing the barrel size would be hard to transport and store as I stay in a flat and space is a issue could I then possibly cut down the chamber and to what size that would give me the same distance I Wana hit
Also since I do not have a high powered air compressor to use on the beach could I chuck in some dry ice as I have seen it on the net ???

ball valve is the problem here, it's too slow. Piston valve or large QEV would be best, but large modified sprinker valve would work too. (modified we mean that it's modified to air (pilot) operated).

Thanks had a look at those piston valves not easy to make seen it done with a can but parts to make up the pilot system and the piston valve are very hard to come buy in our country what's the I can just take out the ball valve and replace with a sprinkler valve but I could only find a 1" will that make a difference to the power ????

I think it is referring to the volume of the charged chamber/volume of the barrel

In the meantime you could try spring-loading the ball valve with a stiff spring.

I have been able to get to 300 yards with a large ball valve and no extra spring or trigger mechanism. I used a 2" pvc valve and pumped to about 80psi. Its not ideal and you have to crank the valve fast. Ball valves aren't ideal but if that is all you can get it can work.

Here is a video of mine, with some problems, that I built recently.
